This wine cooler is simply stunning.
And the NewAir brand is very well respected by consumers. I think this is a very classy wine chiller. Let’s get into the details.
This is a Freestanding, Thermoelectric cooler featuring Dual Zone cooling for 32- Bottles of your favorite wines.
The cabinet is black with stainless steel trim and there are insulated dual glass doors for the side by side compartments. There are digital temperature controls on the outside of each door.
The dimensions are: 21.5″W x 20.5″D x 31″H.
The cooler vents from the back so you will have to make sure to leave a few inches all around it for proper ventilation.
[/vc_column_text][vc_message color=”alert-info”]A note about proper ventilation: Proper ventilation is important for reaching the temperatures that you want to reach and for the overall life of the cooler. If you cooler can’t vent properly, it has to work overtime and this is not how it was designed.[/vc_message][/vc_column][/vc_row]
The interior has 14 pull-out wooden racks with each
rack holding 2 Bordeaux size bottles of wine. Many wine coolers feature metal shelving, which is certainly sharp on many coolers, but the wood shelving that this cooler offers really sets it apart and gives it a high-end look.
The racks pull out easily and hold most regular bottles sizes just fine, however some larger Burgundy or Pinot Noir bottles, as well as Champagne bottles may need to go at the bottom of the cooler.
Each side of the cooler has blue LED lighting which illuminates with the door open or closed. I love this feature; it makes the cooler stand out and looks impressive.
* Something to note: the lighting, while attractive, really only illuminates the first 2-3 rows of wine. If the cooler is placed in a dark area, it may be difficult to see the bottles near the bottom. In a normally lit room however, this is a non-issue.
The temperature range is 46-66° F and the digital controls are on the outside doors.
As per most un-boxing instructions, it is important to let the unit stand upright for 2 hours to reduce the possibility of malfunction that could have happened during transport.
This cooler also features front leveling feet to
properly level the cooler.
All in all, this cooler is sweet! If you like the wood
look (some people want to stick strictly to chrome) then I would recommend giving this cooler a closer look.
However, if you have larger bottles of wine (lots of Burgundy, Pinot Noir, Champagne) you may find the capacity of this cooler decrease.
