Here we have a very attractive countertop or freestanding wine cooler that holds 20 standard size bottles.
This cooler is all black (except for the chrome around the door and the chrome shelves) which in my opinion, gives it a classy look.
The door on this cooler is a black tinted mirror glass which also adds to its sharpness. The tint and mirror help block harmful UV rays from damaging your wine.
The temperature control is on the outside upper portion of the door. It is a soft-touch digital control and very easy to use. The temperature range is 46-65ºF.
What’s inside?
There are 5 removable stainless steel trimmed chrome shelves (scalloped) allowing for flexible storage. I found that larger bottles are best at the bottom. If you have a large number of larger size bottles, you probably won’t get 20 bottles in. I staggered my bottles and was just fine.
There is a soft interior LED light (with on/off switch) which is nice to show off your collection if you like.
This is a thermoelectric cooler, which is supposed to cut down on noise. I wouldn’t say the cooler is loud by any means, but it is not completely silent. The thermoelectric coolers also cut down on vibration (this helps keep the wine sediment from being agitated, which can negatively effect wine.)
The Whynter 20-bottle cooler is lightweight at 33 pounds. I like the fact that I can move it around to different locations if I want. I looked great on my countertop, but I also have a space in the living room where it looks nice. I would also work great on a boat or basement rec room.
The dimensions are 22” H x 20.5”D x 16”W.
Overall this is a great cooler. I like that is is compact for the countertop AND it can hold 20 bottles. Some countertop coolers only hold 6 or 12. The all black cabinet, tinted glass door, and interior light give is a sharp look. Other reviews on this cooler are very positive.
