HOMEIMAGE 21-Bottle Dual Zone Wine Cooler Review

21 bottle Wine Refrigerator

This is the HOMEIMAGE 21-Bottle Thermoelectric wine cooler featuring dual zones.

The HOMEIMAGE is a very good looking wine cooler. I love the upper and lower doors (and the fact that they are different sizes). The look of this cooler is that of someone serious about their wine.

With that said, let me give you the specs and then talk about some things that might deter some from buying.

This cooler is dual zone (which is somewhat rare for a smaller size cooler) which is a plus. The top cooling area holds 6 bottles with a temperature range of 44-64ºF. The bottom will hold 15 bottles and the temperature range is 52-64ºF. The ventilation for this cooler is in the rear. You can place this cooler in a semi-enclosed space, but you will have to make sure to leave room on all sides since it does vent from the back.

The digital temperature controls are on the outside door with LED display. Adjusting the temperature is quite easy.

The doors are dual pane glass and are NOT reversible. Keep this in mind if you are thinking about purchasing this cooler.

The cabinet is black and the doors have stainless steel trim and handles. The look is very attractive.

What’s inside?

21 bottle wine cooler reviewThere are 6 wooden shelves that slide out. I think the wood gives this cooler a really nice look. The shelves are removable, but not adjustable.

Some might complaint that the shelves are too small. They are quite small and narrow. You will have a very hard time with large bottles. You can remove some of the shelves to accommodate your larger bottles, but you will either decrease the capacity or end up stacking the bottles (which is generally not why we buy wine coolers).

One other thing that I initially didn’t like was the fact that you really can’t see the wine labels at a glance. You physically have to pull out each shelf to see what the wine is. I suppose this isn’t the end of the world, but just something to think about. I have actually grown a bit fond of pulling the shelves out to make a selection – it makes it kind of like an event. If this is something that would bother you however, then you might want to think twice about this cooler.

There is a soft interior light that has an on/ off switch so you can display your wine if you like.

Being thermoelectric, this cooler will be pretty quite. You can hear a faint hum, but it’s not loud. Another benefit of thermoelectric coolers is the lack of vibration that you sometimes get with compressor cooling. Vibrations can disturb the sediment in wine and compromise the quality taste of the wine.

Here are the dimensions: 32″H x 20.25″D x 13.75″W. It weighs 44 pounds.21 bottle wine cooler

All in all, this gorgeous cooler is a very nice addition to any space. The dual zones and up and down doors are unique. That said, if your collection consists of larger wine bottles, this cooler is probably not for you. If you have a few larger bottles, this cooler is great.

One final thing to keep in mind are the shelves and the fact that you have to pull the shelf our to view your selection. This is not a big deal for most, but could be a deal breaker for others.
